“No-no, you're totally fine!” my voice barely above a whisper. If I had decided to speak in that moment, it would have ended badly, so I just looked anywhere but at Luz. She coughed involuntarily, and I got a feeling her throat had gone dry. Luz’s expression changed a few times in a matter of seconds before settling on flustered. “You can do whatever to me.” I replied, and then realizing the implications of that sentence, froze. Some looked like brushes, but there were also so many of them? I didn’t have a clue what was going on in there. “So, what type of make up do you want?” she asked, opening her bag to reveal countless strange human devices. I think she noticed because her cheeks went rouge too, and her eyes flickered down. Our noses almost bopped into each other, and I pulled back slightly. She was still looking around the room, but when I turned to her, she looked right back. I pulled myself up to a sitting position against the pillows and faced her.
Then, bag in hand, plopped right down next to me so that she was sitting criss-cross on the sheets next to me. She walked over to the bed and placed me gently on top of the taut sheets, creasing the comforter. I didn’t particularly want to be released from Luz’s arms, but I knew that any more time like this, and I actually might die. It was just a normal teenager’s room, except for the fact that it was about as big as Luz’s living room and kitchen combined. In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, the episode pans across the concert audience, and shows two men and two women kissing along to the tune. One-by-one all the concert-goers start engaging in sweet (Disney-appropriate) make-out sessions. Marco then leans in to kiss a cutie that's not Star (ouch) while other audience members also start getting the feels. When the band starts crooning Star and Marco’s favorite song, aptly titled “Just Friends,” the two begin serenading each other. The groundbreaking episode features Star and her best-guy-friend Marco at a concert for boy band Love Sentence.

the Forces of Evil series follows Star Butterfly, a warrior who battles evil space villains while attempting to navigate high school’s hallowed halls, something we can all (partially) relate to.
